UNION MEMBER'S SPEAK OUT
While driving for Lyft, I didn't want to wait for a passenger that was picking up drugs, right in front of my car. The app sent me to this bad environment and i immediately felt unsafe so i cancelled the ride and drove away. The rider whom was high on drugs and yelling for me to stay, told Lyft a lie, that i refused to give them a ride because i wanted cash. I got deactivated without due process. There was no investigation.

jacob Davis - A food delivery person went into a restaurant, arriving two minutes after getting the call. He waited in the restaurant for 30 minutes. Upset that their food arrived late, the customer lied on this driver. The customer said that the driver had eaten their food, so that they could recieve their money back. DoorDash Deactivated the driver without due process. Where was the investigation?

BECAUSE TOGETHER WE FIGHT BACK WITH LAWSUITS
The DDRU advocates for the rights of Uber, Lyft, delivery drivers, and migrant workers. We challenge companies that exploit drivers by pursuing legal action when amicable resolutions cannot be achieved through mediation. Our team of Regional Managers and administrative staff has successfully conducted research and reactivated Gig job app accounts for members on platforms such as Uber, Lyft, and DoorDash. We are committed to ensuring that our members receive fair wages, guaranteeing compliance with state minimum wage laws.
The DDRU represents a movement of organized workers—from Generation Z to our elders, college students to struggling mothers—operating in bustling cities, rural towns, and everything in between. We are united as working-class individuals, raising our collective voice to demand equitable wages and humane treatment within the gig economy.
