DDRU PROTECTS IMMIGRANT WORKERS
All individuals in the United States have rights, regardless of immigration status. DDRU is here to protect and serve all members of our union. Through investigations we know that 50% of rideshare delivery drivers are immigrant so we vow to protect them, their family members, and friends from illegal harassment and Due process. All people in the United States have constitutional protections, including the right to remain silent when questioned or arrested by immigration officers.

Standard employment authorization forms
USCIS Form I-76
Form I-821
Form I-765, Application for Employment Authorization: This is the main form used by eligible immigrants to request an EAD, also known as a work permit. Your eligibility is determined by your specific immigration category, such as having a pending green card application (Form I-485), seeking asylum (Form I-589), or holding a nonimmigrant status that requires separate work permission.
Form I-821 Application for Temporary Protected Status: Individuals from designated countries can apply for Temporary Protected Status (TPS), which includes eligibility for a work permit. You can file Form I-765 along with or after filing Form I-821.
Form I-485
Form I-129
Form I-485, Application to Register Permanent Residence or Adjust Status: This form is for immigrants already in the U.S. who are applying for a Green Card. You can file Form I-765 for a work permit at the same time as Form I-485.
Form I-129, Petition for a Nonimmigrant Worker:This form is used by U.S. employers to petition for nonimmigrant workers, such as those with H-1B, L-1, or O visas. If the petition is approved, the worker is authorized to work for that specific employer. Dependents, such as the spouse of an H-1B holder, may file Form I-765 to receive their own work authorization.
Form I-589
Form I-9
Application for Asylum and for Withholding of Removal: Asylum seekers file this form to request asylum in the U.S. After a certain waiting period, you can use a pending I-589 to apply for a work permit by filing Form I-765.
Form I-9, Employment Eligibility Verification:This form is not for immigrants to file with USCIS, but it is a federal form that all U.S. employers must use to verify the identity and employment authorization of every new hire, regardless of their citizenship.
